COMMUNITY Assessed Growth
Growing Vibrant Communities is a continuing community enhancement self-assessment program that encourages volunteer community leadership in coordination with municipal efforts in an ongoing commitment to community vitality, beauty, environmental stewardship, and the celebration of heritage.
HOW IT WORKS:
YOU COMMIT to participating either in your own yard or with a neighbor or village business. Through volunteer leadership and community engagement, we #GrowGrandRidge together.
YOU EVALUATE enhancement goals across seven levels of self-assessment: community vitality, flowers, landscaped areas, urban forestry, environmental efforts, celebrating heritage, and overall impression.
WE GROW!

COMMUNITY MARKETS
Monthly Markets in 2020 engaged dozens of families, 27 students and at-large volunteers who assessed goals, planned and executed projects and shared lessons learned on a monthly basis with our America in Bloom advisor.
Regular crop swaps, volunteer opportunities and community workshops are just some of the benefits our Village wide effort created to Grow a Vibrant Community!
Are you interested in mentoring beginning gardeners in 2026? Seasoned green thumbs, please advise! Bring your project ideas and past season garden and landscape photos to our FALL PLANNING MEETING, NOV 8th, 2-3pm at the Hall.
